Pricing
5 questions
How much does lawn mowing cost?+

We charge flat rates based on your lawn size:

  • Small (up to 3,000 sq ft) — $39/visit
  • Medium (3,000–6,000 sq ft) — $59/visit
  • Large (6,000–10,000 sq ft) — $89/visit
  • Extra Large (10,000+ sq ft) — $129/visit
No hidden fees. No fuel surcharges. No tip pressure. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Is there a discount for recurring service?+

Yes. Recurring plans (weekly or bi-weekly) are priced lower per visit than monthly or one-time service. Bi-weekly is our most popular plan — it's the best balance of lawn quality and value for most homeowners.

The more frequently we visit, the less we have to cut each time, which keeps your lawn looking consistently clean rather than overgrown between visits.

How do I know what size my lawn is?+

A few ways to estimate:

  • Check your property records or county assessor website — they usually list your lot size
  • Use Google Maps satellite view — right-click your property and select "Measure distance" to draw the lawn area
  • Average suburban front+back yard is typically 4,000–6,000 sq ft (Medium)
  • A small city lot front yard only is often under 2,000 sq ft (Small)
If you're between sizes, pick the smaller one. If your crew arrives and the lawn is significantly larger, they may adjust on the next booking.
Are there any additional charges beyond the listed price?+

No. What you see at checkout is what you pay. We do not charge extra for:

  • Fuel or travel fees
  • Edging or blowing (included in every visit)
  • Completing the full lawn area
  • Sending a completion photo

The only time additional charges may apply is if your lawn is dramatically larger than the size you selected at booking, or if the lawn hasn't been mowed in several months and requires extra time.

Do you offer senior or military discounts?+

We don't currently have a formal discount program, but we're working on it. Our pricing is already structured to be competitive for recurring customers — bi-weekly service works out to the best per-visit rate we offer.

Booking
4 questions
How do I book a service?+

Book entirely online at lawnmowpros.com in about 60 seconds:

  • Select your lawn size
  • Choose your preferred frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or one-time)
  • Pick a date from the available calendar
  • Enter your address and contact info
  • Pay securely via Stripe

No phone calls. No waiting for a quote. Your booking is confirmed immediately and a local crew will be assigned within 24 hours.

How quickly can I get service scheduled?+

Most customers get same-week service. We typically have crew availability within 2–5 days of booking in most cities.

Availability varies by city and season. During peak spring weeks (April–May), we recommend booking 3–5 days ahead to get your preferred date. In slower seasons, next-day availability is common.

Do I need to create an account?+

No account is required for a one-time booking. For recurring plans, we set up a simple account using your email so you can manage future visits and view your booking history.

Can I book for someone else's address (e.g. parents, rental property)?+

Yes. You can book service for any address — just enter the service address at checkout. The booking confirmation and completion photos go to the email and phone number you provide during checkout, so use your own if you want to receive updates remotely.

You confirm at checkout that you have the legal right to authorize service at the address (either as the owner or with owner permission).

5 questions
What exactly is included in a standard visit?+

Every Lawn Mow Pros visit includes:

  • Mow — the entire lawn area to an appropriate height for your grass type
  • Edge — clean lines along all walkways and driveway edges
  • Blow — all clippings blown off hard surfaces (driveway, walkways, porch)
  • Completion photo — sent to you via text and email when done
Do I need to be home when my lawn is mowed?+

No. You don't need to be home. Just make sure the lawn is accessible — unlocked gates, pets secured inside or away from the work area.

Your crew will complete the job and you'll receive a completion photo via text and email the moment they're done — whether you're at work, traveling, or asleep.

How do I know the job was actually completed?+

Every contractor is required to upload a completion photo before the job is marked done. You receive this photo automatically via text and email. The photo is time-stamped and geotagged.

If the photo shows incomplete work or you're not satisfied, contact us within 24 hours and we'll send the crew back or issue a credit.

What height will my grass be cut to?+

Our crews follow the standard recommended cutting height for the grass type in your region — generally 3–3.5 inches for cool-season grasses (bluegrass, fescue, ryegrass) and 2–2.5 inches for warm-season grasses (bermudagrass, St. Augustine, zoysia).

If you have a strong preference for a different height, note it in the booking comments. We'll do our best to accommodate, though contractors use professional judgment on each lawn.

Do you offer services beyond basic mowing?+

Currently Lawn Mow Pros focuses on mowing, edging, and blowing — our core service done consistently and well. We do not currently offer fertilization, seeding, landscaping design, tree trimming, or chemical treatments.

We are expanding our service offerings. If there's a specific service you'd like to see, let us know at support@lawnmowpros.com.

📅
Scheduling
4 questions
How do recurring plans work?+

When you book a recurring plan (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly), future visits are automatically scheduled based on your first service date. You don't need to rebook each time.

For example, if your first bi-weekly visit is on a Wednesday, your next visit will be scheduled for the Wednesday two weeks later. You'll receive a confirmation reminder 48 hours before each visit.

What happens if it rains on my scheduled day?+

Light rain doesn't stop our crews — they'll complete the job unless conditions are unsafe. In cases of heavy rain, storms, or dangerous lightning, we'll reschedule within 48 hours of your original date at no charge.

You'll be notified by text if your visit is rescheduled due to weather.

Can I request a specific day or time window?+

You can select your preferred date at booking. The time window is generally 8am–12pm or 12pm–4pm depending on crew availability in your area. Exact arrival times vary based on routing, so we can't guarantee a specific hour.

You'll receive an SMS when your crew is on the way.

What if no one is available in my area on my preferred date?+

Our booking calendar only shows dates where crew availability exists in your zip code. If your preferred date isn't available, select an alternate date or check back — availability updates as crews update their schedules.

If no dates are available in your area at all, it means we're still building our contractor network there. Enter your email and we'll notify you when we launch in your zip code.

Cancellations & refunds
4 questions
How do I cancel a visit or my plan?+

Email support@lawnmowpros.com or reply to your booking confirmation with "cancel." We'll handle it immediately. Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled visit for a full refund on that visit.

For recurring plans, cancel anytime — just do so before your next scheduled visit date to avoid being charged for it.

What is your refund policy?+
  • Cancel 24+ hours before: Full refund to your original payment method
  • Cancel within 24 hours: Non-refundable — crew has been dispatched
  • Lockout (crew can't access lawn): Non-refundable — treated as same-day cancel
  • Unsatisfied with service: Contact us within 24 hours — we'll re-service or credit
  • Weather cancellation by us: Full reschedule at no charge
Refund processing time is 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.
What if I need to pause service temporarily?+

Email us to pause your plan for up to 8 weeks. We'll hold your spot and resume on the date you specify. No penalty and no need to rebook from scratch.

What happens if the crew doesn't show up?+

This is extremely rare. If a confirmed crew member is unable to complete a job, we'll reassign to another crew member or reschedule within 48 hours. If neither is possible, you receive a full refund.

Contact support@lawnmowpros.com immediately if a crew doesn't show — we'll resolve it the same day.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported on compatible devices.

We do not accept cash, checks, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.

When am I charged for recurring service?+

For recurring plans, your card is charged before each scheduled visit — typically 24–48 hours in advance. You'll receive an email receipt for every transaction.

4 questions
How should I prepare my lawn before the crew arrives?+

To ensure the best result:

  • Clear toys, hoses, garden tools, and debris from the lawn
  • Pick up pet waste (crews won't mow heavily soiled areas)
  • Unlock any gates that block access
  • Secure pets inside or away from the work area
  • Mark any sprinkler heads that are above grade or difficult to see
What if my lawn has a lot of pet waste?+

Crews are not required to mow areas with significant pet waste. If the lawn can't be safely serviced, it will be recorded as a lockout (non-refundable). We recommend clearing the lawn before each visit.

Ask us about our pet waste removal add-on — available in select cities.
What if the crew damages my property?+

Accidental damage does happen occasionally. Our contractors are required to report any damage immediately. Contact us within 24 hours with photos and a description. We'll investigate and work toward a fair resolution.

We strongly encourage our contractors to carry general liability insurance for exactly this reason.

Can you service a property in a gated community?+

Yes. Add your gate code or access instructions in the booking notes field. Our crew will have access to these details before arrival. If your community requires advance notice, please coordinate with your HOA and let us know in the notes.

About our contractors
3 questions
How are contractors vetted?+

All contractors apply through our platform and agree to our Contractor Terms of Service. We review their equipment, coverage area, and experience. Contractors are rated after every job — those with persistent quality issues are removed from the platform.

Contractors are independent — they are not employees of Lawn Mow Pros. We function as the booking and payment infrastructure that connects you.

Can I request the same crew every time?+

We don't currently support specific crew requests at booking. Jobs are assigned to the best available contractor in your area based on ratings and proximity.

That said, recurring customers in the same zip code often end up with the same crew organically — contractors tend to build routes around their regular customers.

What should I do if I'm not happy with my crew's work?+

Contact us at support@lawnmowpros.com within 24 hours of the completed job. Include a photo showing the issue. We'll send the crew back to correct it at no charge, or apply a credit toward your next visit if we can't reschedule quickly.

Your rating after each job matters — it directly affects the contractor's assignment priority, so honest reviews help keep quality high for everyone.

How do I become a Lawn Mow Pros contractor?+

Apply at lawnmowpros.com/contractor-apply. The application takes about 3 minutes. We review all applications within 24 hours. You'll need:

  • A lawn mower, string trimmer, and leaf blower
  • A smartphone
  • A US bank account (for weekly direct deposit via Stripe)
  • US work authorization
How much do contractors earn?+

Contractors keep 70% of every job. Based on our pricing:

  • Small lawn: $27.30/visit
  • Medium lawn: $41.30/visit
  • Large lawn: $62.30/visit
  • Extra Large: $90.30/visit

Contractors handling 15–20 mixed jobs per week typically earn $600–$1,000/week. Earnings are deposited directly to your bank every Friday.

Do I need insurance to join?+

Insurance is not required to apply. However, we strongly encourage contractors to carry general liability insurance — it protects you from property damage claims that could otherwise come out of pocket. Basic coverage runs about $40–$80/month.

Am I an employee or an independent contractor?+

You are an independent contractor (1099). You set your own schedule, use your own equipment, and decide which jobs to accept or decline. Lawn Mow Pros is the booking platform — we are not your employer.

You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and equipment. You'll receive a 1099-NEC form if your annual earnings exceed $600.
